Der Sommer was born through overcoming adversities. It was founded by a mother and daughter duo (Clee & Valarie) who mended their relationship from a broken and difficult past, by rising against their challenges from doing a floral business together.

 

For the past 10 over years, Clee was entangled with debts from failed businesses and health problems, eventually leading her to an addiction in gambling. During this period of time, her relationship with her daughter, Valarie, had been strained as Valarie was struggling to provide for the family at a young age and the distance between them grew further when she found out Clee's gambling addiction. 

 

Fast forward to 2020, when the pandemic hit, Valarie decided to start a floral business with Clee's 20 over years of experience as a florist in her early days, and decided to mend their relationship by embarking on this floral journey together.

By bonding over their love for flowers, they got over their differences from their past, and this pair of mother and daughter behind Der Sommer Floral aims to convey the same hope, joy and love through their hand lovingly designed bouquets to accompany you through the ups and downs in life.
